I don't know if two scoreless innings in spring training is enough to convince anybody that Brandon Backe has turned the corner, but I'm hoping he'll make the 25-man roster. Isn't Lou Palmisano the cousin of Mike Piazza or am I mistaken. And Michael Bourn should be showing noticeable offensive improvement by now ( on-base percentage wise ) and I'm a little disappointed with his spring training. But once the regular season starts, you'd expect him to be ready.

I just dusted off my boom box radio and put on the Astros game. The Pirates still lead by two runs in the middle of the 8th, 6 to 4.

LOL, the Astros went down 1-2-3 in the top of the 8th and it lasted about four minutes. I'm not even sure Dave Raymond had much time to talk.

Bob, Chad Paronto is having a dream spring so far. You're right, he's been flawless.
