Clack made a good point about Brandon Backe returning from injury a little faster than expected in the past. Even after he had Tommy John surgery, he was targeting an unreasonable return to the mound. I'm worried he's never going to be the type of "elite pitcher" I thought he would be in the past, especially after those epic and amazing performances he displayed during the 2004 and 2005 postseason. More specifically, the 2004 NLCS and 2005 World Series.

I wish Brandon Backe the best and I hope he's able to contribute great things in the future, for either the Astros or another MLB team, but at this point I'm a little doubtful.
