My favorite movie of all-time is the 1992 film "The Last of the Mohicans" featuring Daniel Day-Lewis and Madeleine Stowe. I just find the movie to be epic and fascinating every time I watch it. Of course, there's so many other movies I could have listed but "The Last of the Mohicans" seems to have that "transcending time" factor. The movie never seems to age or get old.

. . .

There's actually a musical theme in the movie called "Promentory" and it's one of the best musical pieces ( songs ) of all-time. That song alone is epic and breathtaking.

If you liked The Last of the Mohicans, you probably enjoyed/will enjoy Dances With Wolves, directed by and starring Kevin Costner. It came out a couple years prior to Mohicans and has similar attributes. Definitely Costner's best effort in both directing and acting, IMO. Great scenery, great music, and a great story.

Staying with the American Indian theme, as a child I really enjoyed the movie, Little Big Man, starring Dustin Hoffman and Faye Dunaway. I haven't seen the movie in awhile, but I remember enjoying it also as a young adult.
