Berkman is actually stronger from the right side. He is a natural righthanded hitter. Notice in the HR hitting contests at the All-Star games, Berkman hits righthanded because he can hit the ball farther from the right side.

Luis Gonzalez was also, but I don't think he would have produced half the great career numbers he had if he switch hit or batted right-handed all of the time. He was a remarkable .283 career hitter, .845 OPS and 354 home runs. His best home run season ( 57 in 2001 ) is more than Berkman has ever had in a season ( 45 in 2006 ).

Lance Berkman might be a natural right-handed man, just like Luis Gonzalez, but he should always hit left-handed when playing Major League Baseball, in my opinion.
