I'll be jumping up for joy if the Astros get their fourth sensational start in a row, following the amazing pitching performances we've seen from Wandy, Ortiz and Oswalt the past three games.

Starting pitching wise, I'm not sure there's been a better team, in all of Major League Baseball, than the Astros since Sunday. A crying shame they're 1-2 and not 3-0 during the past three ballgames.

Brian Moehler has to continue the excellent trend...

Go Astros!

The 37-loss Astros enter today's game with only four more losses than the division-leading Cardinals and Brewers ( 33 losses apiece ), so they're still within striking distance for first place in the NL Central.

I'm excited about the Astros... If they keep getting the starting pitching they've been getting lately, this division is there for the taking. More importantly,. they have to win a majority of the games they have left against the Cardinals, Brewers, Cubs and Reds. A couple losses to the Royals isn't a big deal if they get those games back against their divisional rivals, during head-to-head play.
