To be clear, I wasn't a fan of the Vet/Riverfront/Three Rivers model that people liked to complain about but they were, at least, multi-purpose stadiums that were economical in that they could be used for multiple sports, unlike the current ones which are pretty much useless except for baseball and the occasional concert.

As for "The Jake", I went there on the same road trip that took me to Tiger Stadium and I saw some touches that I thought made it stand out, such as the lighting fixtures and the broad concourses. I'm also not fond of downtown ballparks where you basicly have to leave your vehicle on unsafe streets or pay ungodly fees just to park your car with no security. I got spoiled with the Dome and its acreage of security-patrolled parking. I'd much rather have that than the vaunted "nightlife" of nearby hotels and watering holes (and bail bondsmen).
