As an earlier poster pointed out...

BTW - he's really fallen off a cliff in '09 has a RHer: BA .205, OBP .247, Slugging .397, OPS .643...which is a WORSE OPS than Bourn, Maysonet, Keppinger, Quintero, IRod, Blum, Hampton and Ortiz....UGLY!!!!!
Those numbers are alarming to me. I can't imagine that he'd be hitting much worse as a left-handed hitter going up against left-handed pitching, but that's always going to be my own personal opinion. I've felt that way for a long time, not just this year, during a so-called "down year" for him. Watching him belt two left-handed hitting home runs today made me feel even more confident in his left-handed swing. I really wish Larry Dierker had given him the green light to hit exclusively left-handed back in 2001, then we wouldn't even be debating his switch hitting.
