RyanED, I like Lance Berkman a lot, and he is a great player. But Lance Berkman is no Albert Pujols. Pujols is already close to a cinch for the Hall of Fame, even though he isn't 30 years old yet, assuming he doesn't show up on some steroids list. Pujols will probably go down as one of the top five best hitters in the history of the game. Pujols is superior to almost every other hitter playing today, because he hits for high average, he consistently has Bonds-like OBP, he hits for extreme power, he hits well against both righties and lefties, and does this all without many strike outs. On the last point, Pujols' ability to hit with power with so few strike outs is exceptional. Pujols' career K rate is 10%. Contrast that with Berkman's 20%, A-Rod's 20%, and Manny Ramirez's 21% K rates. Pujols is kind of a throw back to a Ted Williams hitting talent (Williams had a K rate of 9%).
