We're still climbing towards the peak of the season, which is September 10th. Then we'll be on the downhill side with another little spike in activity the first of October. But once we get to October, I think I remember reading that there's never been a storm to hit the Texas coast from October on. If I'm not remembering that right then it's very few.

Thanks to El Nino, things have been real quiet. Absolutely nothing has happened in the Gulf and Caribbean, except for a little weak quickie (Claudette) that wasn't anything more than a rain storm. And what little has happened in the Atlantic has never been a threat to the U.S.

See, the world isn't coming to an end with outrageous numbers of hurricanes. Everything is cyclical no matter what you drive.
