The question now in terms of guys like Springer and Singleton (and Wojo) is whether it is better to call them up now and finish the season stronger (winning between 60-65 games) or if it is better to wait until September and keep their rookie status' intact for 2014. I remember Bagwell winning the ROY in 1991 and it made the terrible season that much more tolerable. They won 65 that year but it seemed better and if we had a couple of awards candidates it would make 2014 look like real progress.

I agree completely with this.  This season is a throw away in terms of record, and I'm more than ok with a number one pick again.
It would be nice to have 2014 teed up with something to look forward too, and perhaps a RoY candidate.  With a couple of Veras type pickups in bullpen we should increase the win total by 10-50 wins next year, and finally show progress.
