I do overgeneralize about both. Not every step is wrong. It's just when your present yourself as smarter than everyone else and then implement policies that appear counterproductive and counterintuitive (such as spending your way out of debt or undercutting your offer to your own overall number one draft pick), you should get bitch-slapped when those ideas don't work. At least Luhnow got some blowback.

I agree. Luhnow gets one or more years still. Who knows how much of these gaffes are actually Crane and not Luhnow? The problem is that when your win total increases from 51 to, say, 68 that seems really impressive when the truth of the matter is you're still at only 68 wins. When our country still has millions of longterm unemployed and more people on public assistance than ever before plus holding the doors wide open for every immigrant that wants to come in and punishing businesses, you have to question why these guys high-five themselves about an allegedly good economy.
