GMs have to be judged on a different scale. The 2012 draftees should start percolating next season. So, over the next couple of seasons, Luhnow's selections will make or break him. My target date for him is 2016 barring any other boneheaded PR snafus. I tend to agree that next year's draft has to go off without a hitch in terms of signing guys. If we aren't playing above .500 baseball in 2016 then something needs to change. The difference with Porter is that we don't know if the double digit win improvement is merely a function of increased talent or any growth as a manager. We can only see what decisions he makes during games, but several players have flourished this season. Is that on him or other coaches like Brent Strom?
