Good work as usual Bob. I tend to split the difference on the analytical angle but to each their own. Of course, I got my bachelors at TCU and my masters at UHCL, so I'm hardly in the same ballpark as Ivy League eggheads. I think there is a keen difference between what they would call process and what I would call methodology. Pittsburgh and KC essentially did the same thing for 20 years and were called cheap. The methodologies were different so the analytical community gives them a pass. You don't have to use the scorched earth process to use advanced analysis. My sincere hope is that when/if Luhnow gets the axe, they will look for someone that uses analysis to make decisions. The difference is that they need to be about winning baseball games in the short term.
