I have a hard time believing that Luhnow never mentioned that he wanted to share info with the manager. The difference comes in that he actually wanted autonomy. Porter was using a lot of the analytical data. My advice to Luhnow is to make a decision. Do you want to collaborate with the manager or do you want a puppet? If you want the puppet then either take over yourself or get a monkey from the zoo and throw a uniform on it. Listen, everyone here knows I love analytics but you have to have someone you can trust to collate the data and make decisions that make sense. Sometimes that means pushing the data aside and going according to human factors.
