I'm reminded of the situation in which the witness is sworn in promising to tell the whole truth and then one of the attorneys asks the judge to instruct the witness to only respond with a yes or no answer to his very carefully crafted restrictive questions.  (well, that's what we see on TV anyway, so how could it not be  ... )  Devil
