Yeah, I know it's just spring training and all, but Kris Bryant leads the world in HRs and RBIs and his OPS is 2.072!!  Of course, you have to be careful how you look at the stats because he doesn't have enough ABs to be a 'qualified' hitter.  If he did have enough ABs his crappy .480 batting average wouldn't have him at the top, however.  Aside from all the "trivial" hitters (you know, the 1 for 1s and 2 for 3 types), Mike Trout is leading everyone with a .500 average.

I think the Cubs are still planning to have Bryant start 2015 in AAA, though, working on "things he needs to work on" -- meaning to me the Cubs want to push back his arbitration schedule.  But it seems to me he's going to make it hard for them to keep muttering the mantra unless they get off to a good start without him.

In the interest of fair reporting it might be noted that Carlos Corporan's OPS is 1.138 and Brian Bogusevic's is 1.263 and J.D. Martinez is second in HRs with 5 (to Bryant's 8).

What? me bitter?  NO way.
