I wouldn't blame a team for asking. If I'm an 18-yr-old kid who perhaps had an injury problem and I'm being considered as a high draft pick, I'd be willing to be examined to put any fears to rest but it would be with two caveats - first, the information is for that team only and not to be shared with other teams and secondly that I'm compensated for the cost of the exam and tests in a way that does not threaten my college eligibility.

Thus, if the team decides it doesn't want to draft me then it doesn't hurt my status with 29 other teams and it still allows me to go to college if I don't like my draft position. But if an exam can help close the sale, as it were, and makes me an extra million or two, why would I be afraid of taking one?
