Agreed, Scott. I do think this completely vindicates the Astros, not that ESPN will admit it. I just saw the report, and they didn't even suggest the Astros were in the right.

Remember, Aiken is very young, and a lot of young pitchers have been doin TJ surgery almost as a preventive measure. So I can see Aiken with a baseball future, even today, which is probably the lowest day of Aikens life. I wish him the best.

Imagine the blowback on the Astros and Luhnow if they hadn't done all the med testing pre-signing. Instead, they get a compensation pick and, due to their deft maneuvering, they made a positive out of what would've been a disastrous negative. Say it now, Luhnow et al. made the right call and should be applauded for it.
