However, they have to look forward to the Rule V draft and who they can reasonably put on the 40 man. They already lost Deshields and while they may not consider that as much of a loss, it is a loss in organizational depth. I'd rather see them go with some three for one deals and get something in return. So, I wouldn't be so sure they don't deal some B or B- prospects to get a key veteran somewhere. This means a Domingo Santana, Preston Tucker band, or another young arm could be going out in such a Hamels deal. I'd be all over that personally because you would solve the backlog problem and get that top of the rotation arm.
