Just to be clear, I agree that they didn't leverage the future or spend a lot of money on these picks. It was that reason alone that I felt their philosophy had shifted. 2-3 years ago we would suffer through Dominguez instead of trading for a small upgrade. We never would have traded top prospects, regardless of depth, for a player with glaring offensive holes who could only play DH on a consistent basis. If we are looking at signing guys to short term deals to either get us through a dry spell then that is not the philosophy they espoused when the rebuild started. 

If guys like Gattis is what we qualify as talent so the Correa doesn't have to shoulder the load alone we have bigger problems.
