Those who weren't at the game Thursday may have seen some Beltran apologists on TV.

Morgan Ensberg made a somewhat smart aleck pre-game remark that if the fans did boo Beltran, it would show that Beltran made the right choice, because the fans didn't want him anyway. To follow that line of thinking, maybe Ensberg would have defended Benedict Arnold.

Even the great Larry Dierker made a remark -- paraphrasing, "I don't know why the fans want to boo Carlos." Then Dierker went on to try to put the blame for Beltran leaving completely on Boras. But, Larry, Carlos had to sign the contract, too.
