I for one hope all of the booing is over with. To continuosly boo a player that way shows our team, who for the most part happen to like Beltran, that if you turn your back on us we'll hate you for life. Baseball is a game for kids but a business for men. Make no mistake about it, I'm as displeased with Beltran for the circus that he and Boras put us thru this offseason but that is water under the bridge and should be put to rest. Beltran made a business decision just as any one of us would do if in the same position. Kent's situation is a lot different because he had ties to Houston because he was with the club for somewhat of an extended time. Beltran was on rent for the remainder of the '04 season and really didn't have ties to the club. Randy Johnson did the same to Houston some years back and even went as far as stating he didn't want to play in Houston even before he was traded to us. I know that if another employer asked me to work for them for more than what my current employer pays me, I'd jump ship. Let's just beat the Mets the next 3 games and that will speak volumes to Beltran. Booing a player can be fun but at the same time is classless.
