I really enjoy Minute Maid Park. I love looking at the skyline as the sun is setting, sitting in the rather not so bad evening weather we have been having, feeling kind of close to the game, and I like that it is in the downtown area as I consistantly get lost there. MMP has become my main point in downtown when I get confused. I find MMP, I find my way home.
Having said that, I really miss the Astrodome sometimes. My family always sat in general admission, and I loved that you could sit wherever you want. Sometimes when we went during the week and there weren't a whole lot of people, we got to sit in the first row. I used to wander around it for whole innings, just taking it in, watching people get their shoes shined, watching the game from various angles. One of my all time favorite dome memories was waiting outside with my sister while my dad was getting the tickets and seeing Shane Reynolds running laps around the stadium.
My last visit to the dome for an Astros game was towards the end of their last season there. My brother's football team was in the playoffs last year, and they played a game in the Dome. I was excited, but it was a litttle sad, as it looked old and depressing. I prefer to remember it jam packed, with over 57,0000 people doing the wave.
