As far as Burnett's attitude problem, I think someone previously spoke of "lack of accountability" which sums up my concern. If you don't perform well, you recognize it for what it is instead of blaming it on others. Look at Schilling after last night's game, or Wagner after he blows a save, or most any of the Astros' starters after a bad game. They recognize where the blame lies if they don't do their job. As to whether Burnett is worth 4 yrs/40 million...Setting aside the attitude issues, I don't think so. He throws very hard and has great stuff, but obviously has control issues (as you probably remember from his outing against the Astros). So it's speculative whether he will overcome those problems, and I don't think a team should spend that much for a speculative bet. But that doesn't mean teams won't; they probably will. If the Rangers don't watch out, they could end up with another Chan Ho Park deal.
