I'm not so sure. Just pulled a peek at the Braves roster. Got a lot of righties in there. Switchees with Chipper and Convict Furcal (and to a lesser degree of importance Betemit "sandwich"), but power righties in Andruw Jones, Francoeur and Astro-killer Marcus Giles. I'd kind of like to start RoyO (sorry about the $200, Ryan) and then Pettitte, saving Clemens for Game 3.

But it all comes down to the playoff dates. We know Game 3 will be next Saturday and, if we need it, Game 4 next Sunday. Looking at the calendar, Game 1 would be either Tuesday or Wednesday, with Game 2 Wednesday or Thursday. So let's say, for the sake of argument, it's Game 1 Tuesday and Game 2 Wednesday. RoyO gets an extra day of rest, and Pettitte stays on schedule for Wednesday, leaving either of them open for a potential Game 5 the following Monday. You can allow Rocket to rest the hammy and start next Saturday for the (clinching) Game 3.

But now let's say the dates for Games 1 and 2 are Wednesday and Thursday. This would put the Astros at somewhat of a disadvantage as only one of the aces would be able to go on full rest for Game 5, leaving him a bit toasted for the NLCS against the Padres(:evil ). Do you start Clemens in this scenario for Game 1 then? I don't think so, but if the Game 2 starter would be out or limited for Game 5, I think you go Pettitte in Game 1 and RoyO in Game 2 (with the idea being RoyO could come in in relief better than Pettitte).
