Originally, I thought it was just a given that Bagwell would DH...but now that you've brought it up...
I would rather see Berkman stay at first base for the whole series, or at least in the games on the road. He's just better defensively than Lamb. So I would think that perhaps a Lamb/Bagwell DH might be in order.
The thing to remember is that Bagwell is not a power hitter right now. At best, all he's going to be able to get us is timely base hits. And while it's been debated ad nauseum as to whether or not he's a clutch hitter, I'm not sure that automatically pencilling him in as DH is the right way to go.
I don't see Berkman being used as a DH. I would much rather see him used as a first baseman.
