I can see Bagwell as the #2 hitter and Taveras down in the 9 hole but can Bagwell move a runner over or lay down a bunt? Sometimes the #2 hitter has to put a runner into scoring position. While Bagwell walks a lot and has a great OBP, nobody knows what his plate timing or batter's eye is like right now.

I will say this though. If the Astros use Bagwell all four games as DH, he goes 0-for-20 and the Astros lose the Series, I would not blame him for the loss. He deserves to be out there for all he's done for the franchise. He deserves the chance to succeed or fail on the big stage in likely his only appearance. The Astros have done implausable things all year and gotten away with it so how can you deny Bagwell the chance to add one more storybook finish to the season? It's just the right thing to do.
