Okay folks, I won't say too much on this because I've already submitted a column on this for AD, but here is what the Chronicle said today about the Tejada deal: the Orioleshave asked for Everett, Nieve, and Pence. Pence is hitting .298/.362/.564 in Corpus Christi with 22 homers and 75 RBIs. I would point out that there are competing facts that make the decision on his future tough to broadcast
1) After a hot start, Pence has been rather ordinary over the past couple of months. Will he become more ordinary in AAA?
2) Whataburger Field played as a pitcher's park last year, so maybe his power numbers will improve in a more neutral Dell Diamond and Minute Maid Park.
That's it as far as I'm concerned. I know losing Pence is hard, but outfielders are relatively easy to find. To me, keeping the likes of Patten, Hirsh, Barthmair, and Buchholz is more important. I'd pull the trigger.

I'm down with OBP (yeah you know me).
