Cassel got a win on the road for Round Rock, and he was very impressive. He allowed 1 run in 7 IP with 7 hits allowed, 5K, 2 BB. Reportedly he had a GB to
Fly ratio of 15-0. On the season, his groundball ratio is a spectacular 75% and his ERA is 2.50. This guy make get to the big league club sooner rather than
later.

And he had a successful outing as an Astro, after a shaky start. He picked up his first Astro W today!

yes not bad for filling in for our 3rd starter. I don't know if Wande would have done better. This staff may be mediocore, but it
definitely isn't the worst. Atleast we know we actually do have some pitching depth. |

I like Cassel. I think long-term he's a better candidate than Sampson given he has a little better minor league track record.
