" Drew Sutton went 4-for-4 with two more doubles for Double-A Corpus Christi on Saturday. He has six doubles in four games and 16 on the season. Overall, the 24-year-old switch-hitter is batting .340/.426/.516 in the Texas League. He's never been looked at as much of a prospect, but if this keeps up, he could see time in the majors in September or next year. Kaz Matsui is hardly durable, and Sutton could prove to be a decent stopgap at second if needed."..................

As a switch hitter with multi-positional capabilities he could have some value on the bench. He makes me think Blum without quite the defensive prowess but maybe a little more offensive potential. I don't see him as a potential starter. In fact, at 2B, I like Matt Cusick who is in low A right now and should soon be promoted. Matt has a .385/.455/.632 line with a tremendous 6:15 K:BB ratio. I like him as a pesky David Eckstein kind of hitter.
