1) I will never buy a Dell again. They royally fucked up our internet connection so that are desktop is unusable. Plus, I'm tired of needing an interpretor to talk with customer service.
2) I don't want another HP. I had to buy an optical mouse because the mouse no longer works. Plus, I went through two different laptops in two weeks before finally getting one that works.
All this being said, my preliminary research has shown the following:
1) Sony makes a pretty good laptop (my wife got one this year), but they are pretty proud of it.
2) Toshiba usually makes a good laptop as well
3) I went to the Apple store and liked what I saw.
Here is the issue with Apple though, I haven't used one since journalism class in high school and they are 300 dollars more than the other laptops. However, the little demo I went through seemed really cool. So, here is the question: is moving from PC to laptop fairly easy (I asked them the same question but figured I got a bogus answer) and are those computers worth the extra jack?
