It's not even a silver boot, it's made of glass. And if I remember correctly, it was broken a few years back on a trek from Houston to Arlington, or Arlington to Houston. Trying to make a huge competitive thing between the Astros and the Rangers over this boot was so freaking funny! Um, the Astros fans root for the Rangers. The Rangers fans root for the Astros. We do not hate each other in any way. This is so not a Yankee/Met thing in the South. But, after a few years, I have come to accept this Silver Boot Thing. It's kind of traditional now. Yes, I still make fun of it - OH MY GOD WHO WILL GET THE SILVER BOOT!!!??? But, it's become a fun kind of thing. That said, I do hate when the Astros play the Rangers. No matter how bad the Rangers are doing, they seem to take down the Astros. Stupid dump Silver Boot Rangers.

The whole Silver Boot thing is kinda ghey . I have grown to hate the Rangers over the past years though . Like you said AG , they always find a way to get over on the Astros . R.I.P. I chose this tiny personal fan that lights up and says "Go Astros" when it is activated. I showed it off to a female friend and mentioned to her that the manufacturers also made a fan with the Rangers' logo. "Guess what the Rangers fan says?", I grinned. "Go Rangers...?", she answered. No, I said, "So How 'Bout Those Cowboys" "Astro Fan Since They Were First Called Astros."

I'm getting a little sick of the Rangers hitting 50 HR's every time they play the Astros. As far as the rivalry, no, it isn't Yankees/Mets, hell, it's not even Astros/Cards, but believe it or not, these two teams play each other pretty tight. The Astros have a 22-20 edge in this all-time series. If the Rangers could ever become a playoff contender like the Astros have for the last decade, it might move up the rivalry list a little, but it'll never be too big unless they meet in a couple or 3 WS. *The Real* HR Leaders Aaron 755, Ruth 714, Mays 660, Griffey, Jr. 603, F. Your being to nice, its good to hate the cross state ie Cross town rivals.

The series is now 22-21 in favor of the Astros, but the Rangers freaking pile up those runs. After tonight's 16-8 slaughter, that's the 8th time the Rangers have gone double digits on the Astros, 4th time they've scored 16 or more. The Rangers have scored 6 or more runs in 21 of the 43 games they've played against the 'Stros. That's almost HALF!!! 7 or more runs in the last 5 games in the series, including a 14, 11 and 16. *The Real* HR Leaders Aaron 755, Ruth 714, Mays 660, Griffey, Jr. 603, F. Sometime soon its got to change I still don't see how you guys don't see this as a serious rivalry the way they keep KICKING THE ASTROS BUTT, me I hate them almost as much as I hate the Yankee's. Though I hate the Yankee's for another reason.
