Remember the Astros traded Stephen Randolph to the Phillies for a player to be named later? I figured we would never hear about a player in that deal (maybe
just cash for the Astros). But Astros.com notes that the Astros received AAA starting pitcher Ron Chiavacci from the Phillies. He had a 1-7 record for the
Phillies' AAA team. I couldn't find any career stats for him, but a search indicates that he was referred to as one of the "journeymen pitchers
in their 30's" when was available as a minor league free agent last year. Don't expect much, I suppose. In case you're wondering, Chiavacci
was a pitcher in the Phillies' organization during Wade's tenure as GM there.
