I only skimmed it but it read like Islam's beliefs on the afterlife. If you really want to know that, I'm sure there are plenty of religious sites that can give more info. I'm not religion-intolerant but columns posted at AD have to have some sort of baseball angle and, hopefully, a Houston Astros angle to them. If Lance Berkman wants to share his faith or Brad Ausmus, when he was here, wants to discuss Judaism, I'm okay with that. If an Astro became a practicing member of Islam (as Hakeem Olajuwon was with the Rockets) and wants to discuss it, I'm okay with posting it. Heck, if any of our Latin players practice voodoo, I'm glad to have them tell us why.

But this column came out of the blue from a name I didn't recognize. The intro paragraph for the front page was almost longer than the column. It just didn't belong at AstrosDaily.

We had a previous incident that made me question how many people have our password so this motivated me to finally change it. I'll give it out on a need-to-know basis.

I hastily added a column I'd been working on about Chris Sampson and then went about scrubbing the Allah column from the site.

I realize this is probably more than anyone wants to know but I felt I should address this in case anyone noticed during the roughly two hours it was up so as to answer any questions.
