Right-hander Ezequiel Astacio will be called up Wednesday to start against the Pirates.
The Astros may have considered Wandy Rodriguez as Brandon Duckworth's replacement, but Astacio is the safer choice, despite his 4.63 in four starts for Triple-A Round Rock. The 25-year-old may be ready to be an average fifth starter, though little more than that should be expected for now.

great! I don't care what really happens, hopefully he does well, but Duck back in the pen at least, maybe dealt soon.
AND even BETTER news...
Lance Berkman (knee) went 3-for-5 with two homers and played three innings in right field today in an extended spring training game.
Activate him!!! Well, it probably won't happen tomorrow. Berkman will have him time in the outfield increase the next two days and he'll then DH on Thursday. If he continues to swing well and his knee feels fine, he could come off the disabled list on Friday. Apr. 25 - 11:43 pm et
YES! SOME good news after we laid an egg tonight.
