It's been a good night for some other guys we've been targeting. Alou and Feliz both went deep against the Brewers and Griffey has had an RBI double. We can decide to shore up our pitching staff and win with small ball or we can send some of it away for a hitter like Dunn. Either way could be great or either way could be disaster.

My answer would have been exactly the same as yours, Bob (only with some upper case letters too ). It sounds like the Reds have just decided that they will wait until the offseason to trade Dunn. That is a calculated risk for them, though. At that point in time, their attempt at selling Dunn will be competing with free agents who can be signed by teams without giving up any players/prospects. They may not be able to get as much as they think then.
