4 at Reds, then a 7 game home stand .. 4 with Padres and 3 with Dodgers .. I think it is possible we could go 8-3 or 7-4 in these final 11 games before break. At 35-41 .. if we at least go 7-4 .. we would be 42-45 at break .. only 3 games under .500 .. that would be pretty good considering we were once 15 under.

I think these 4 games at Reds in particular we need to sweep. It would enhance our road record which is in need of a boost.
I was mildly disapointed we didn't sweep that series at Coors but 2 out of 3 isn't bad .. and if we take 3 out of 4 at Cincy, I will settle for that. Backe needs to pitch a good game tonight. Last thing I want to see is that Reds lineup tee off on us. |

7-4 would be nice. But I think realistically we could go 9-2. If we play the way we have played and going home where we dominate we should be able to sweep the Reds and take both series with the Pads and Dodgers. I strongly think 9-2 is do able. Of course tonight will be important. Backe needs to be strong tonight. Milton has been horrible lately, over 10 ERA his last 3 starts and if Backe is solid we should win easily.

well, Backe was gritty but bad, and we didn't do anything to Milton - but hey, we got a mulligan! It'll be interesting to see how the pitching get juggled around to accommodate the DH Saturday. Maybe Zeke makes a return appearance - or they trade to get Redding back
