Because if that's true, that would mean one of them would miss the Marlins series (oswalt). Not good, considering they're bring their 4 best to the table (Willis, Beckett, Burnett, and Vargas - don't by any means forget about him). Backe will need to show his playoff form Monday against Dtrain and Zeke will need to be dominant (he can if he keeps the ball down) against Beckett. And if there were a time the lineup needed to support Roger, this week would be it. Let's hope for the best. I'm optimistic since we're a different team at home.

Yes. We got Clemens, Pettitte, Oswalt pitching the 3 games vs Brewers. We need to sweep the Brewers I feel. It would give us 6 wins in a row heading into that big 4 game series with Marlins starting on monday. Also, the Phillies play the Marlins for a 3 game series starting on friday. So hopefully Phillies take 2 out of 3 or sweep all 3 vs Marlins. If things go like I want, we might be 3 or 4 games ahead of Marlins when we start the 4 game series with them, so even if we just split 2-2 with them, we would still be in great shape. I think it will be Zeke on monday and Backe on tuesday vs Marlins. And then Clemens and Pettitte in the final 2 vs Marlins. First thing is first of course, lets try to sweep Brewers with our big 3 going. Clemens, Pettitte, Oswalt.

I am hopeful that we will be a few games up on Florida when they come to town and if we split (I hope not) it won't mean a drop in the standings.

Garner has already tweaked the rotation and, since we're on a mini-roll, he'll probably keep it the way it is.

Then is will be Zeke or Wandy, followed by Clemens and Pettittte. I hope Zeke does not pitch. Wandy should go, the team just playes better when he is on the hill.

To quote my step-dad: "I'd bet if you bet Zeke 50 bucks he couldn't throw the ball over the strike zone". I find that a very fitting description of Zeke. Wandy on the other hand has put up a few quality starts and has shown the ability to get people out. Nothing seems to shake that guy mentally. If for nothing else that edges him over Zeke IMO. Baseball is life

I would like to see Zeke out of the bullpen (At least for the rest of the year). He has electric stuff and I believe could grow into the role. Hopefully he can earn another chance at the starting rotation next year. I don't trust Wandy a lot more than Astacio.
