People were sitting on the bar in centerfield watching the game. Never seen anything like it.

Good God, after that Atlanta GS, I was ready to lose and face the next game. But OH MY GOD AND EVERYTHING THAT IS RIGHT IN THIS WORLD - the Stros pulled it out in 18 freaking innings!

As there were no concessions to be found in the area after God-only-knows-what-inning, someone quipped "somebody call FEMA and have 'em send some beer over here". I was also at the 16-inning game in '86 and the 22-inning night game in (I think July '89) when we beat the Dodgers w/ Valenzuela playing first base at the end (close to 2am).
